New Inventory - Testing snow foams, a wheel cleaner and some shampoo

Welcome to the 'New Inventory' blog post. I wanted to create a separate category for whenever i buy new products, as it's always fun to see what people buy, and maybe even give you recommendations on new products to try. You can also expect a review of some of the products later on either the youtube channel or the blog.

Newest to my inventory is:

Bilt Hamber - Auto-foam

Bilt Hamber - Auto-wheel

Koch Chemie - Gentle Snow Foam

Gtechniq - G-Wash

Dr Dirt - Foam Lance Bottle

SX ProMax - Clay Sponge

3M - Masking tape

Bilt Hamber - Auto-foam

Currently i've been using Koch Chemie Green Star or Bilt Hamber Surfex has my alkaline pre-wash, but as i now finally have bought a pressure washer i decided it was time to test out this highly recommended snow foam. It's not a big 'american' foamer, which lathers your car in a thick shaving foam, but rather a thin, runny snow foam. Based on reviews this has exceptional cleaning power, so i am really looking forwards to adding this to my list of current products. When not a pressure washer is available i will use this in a low pressure pump sprayer at a 4% dilution based on the FAQ of Bilt Hamber's homepage.

Bilt Hamber - Auto-wheel

I have empty my bottle of Valet Pro Dragon breath and wanted to try another wheel cleaner. Bilt Hamber have an excellent range of decontamination products, so i wanted to give this a go. Currently i have yet to test it, but i expect it to be excellent. The spray bottles are also really well made, especially the trigger spray.

Koch Chemie - Gentle Snow Foam (GSF)

I am also a big fan of Koch products and i've wanted to try their snow foam for a while now. You may wonder why i ordered Bilt Hamber Auto-foam and GSF. Auto-foam is a alkaline based detergent, while GSF is a pH neutral snow foam, meaning auto-foam will have a much better cleaning ability, while GSF only removes a little. I like covering my car in a pH neutral snow foam to use as extra lubrication while doing my contact wash. When the car is only dusty i could skip the pre wash step and just rinse the car then cover it in GSF. GSF can also be used as a bucket soap which is something i like in a snow foam.

Gtechniq - G-wash

I've soon used up my bottle of Carpro Reset. Even though i love the glide of Reset i like trying new things. In Forensic Detailing Channels shampoo review this came outside the top 5, but was on the top 10 list of good shampoos. John liked this soap, and said it had better cleaning power than many of the top 5, but lost out because of price. Even though i wash a few cars, cost for shampoo is not that great for me, so this seemed like an obvious choice for me to test out. I like Gtechniq as a brand, and i like their bottles and marketing. Looking forwards to testing this in the bucket and in the foam lance.

Dr Dirt - Foam Lance Bottle

I've recently bought a AVA Go P55+ pressure washer (review coming soon). As i live in an apartment i can't store a big pressure washer, but this little one fits perfect in my storage room. AVA is a Norwegian brand which sells pressure washer and pressure washer equipment. One of the accessories in the pressure washer kit was a foam lance, though without a bottle. What is good about the foam lance though is that it has standard 28mm threads, allowing me to connect nearly any type of 1 liter bottle to the foam lance.

As you can see in the video i am using a Imsdal drink bottle, while i'm using Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam.

I like the design of the Dr Dirt bottle as it is super hard to tip over.

SX ProMax - Clay Sponge

I managed to ruin my other clay sponge as it did not like Tac System Tar Zero. The clay part of the sponge disintegrated and the entire sponge is now sticky. I tried cleaning it but it looks like i ruined it. Well, you learn from your mistakes, so that is the last time im mixing a tar remover with my clay sponge. This clay sponge was identical to the one i had earlier and i was pretty pleased with this type of clay sponge.

3M - Masking tape

Spring is here and it's time to polish my car. I am just waiting to get my new tires as i will change to summer tires, and this means that i will put the car up on jack's so i can deep clean my wheel arches as well. The masking tape is to cover any plastic bits on the car so i won't get polish residue stuck in between plastic and paint, and while not contaminating my plastic.

Thank you for reading this 'New Inventory' post. What products have you recently bought?
